about Nikon D2X
I am greatly impressed with the Nikon D2x. With this SLR camera, Nikon has proved that there isn't a need for a digital with 35mm frame size. The 35mm format is no holy grail, and lenses designed for 35mm do not work ideally with a digital sensor of 35mm dimensions. The sensors in the Nikons and some Canons use the sweet spot of the lens, not allowing distortion from the edges of wide angle lenses to affect the image. And with the new wide angle lenses users have all the view they need. Plus they get the benefits of longer lenses, with no need for a teleconverter, which also distorts the image. I think that Nikon is using the ideal sensor size. And the Nikon D2x outperforms 35mm by far. It's a super camera, one I enjoy using every day. Buy one!
